The Arkansas State Lettermen’s Club will induct another stellar class into its Hall of Honor this Friday evening, and “The Drive with Brad Bobo” welcomed one of those six honorees to the show on Wednesday. Former Indian football great Joe Slayton played at A-State from 1976-79, where he was recruited as a tight end, but put himself in the record books as a punter. Slayton ranks second all-time in yardage and third in the number of career punts and single-season punting average. The Pocahontas native talks about his journey from Missouri to Jonesboro, and how he became a punter.
