The sports scene in the state of Arkansas lost one of its iconic figures on Monday with the passing of legendary head football coach Don Campbell. “The General” led three programs (Corning, Sheridan, and Wynne) over 31 seasons, earning 256 victories and a pair of State Championships (2001 and 2004 with Wynne). Tuesday, “The Drive with Brad Bobo” visited with Brookland boys basketball head coach and athletic director Bobby Gross, whose early days as a basketball (and coach came in Wynne, where he got to see Coach Campbell up close.
