A couple of high school coaching changes in eastern Arkansas have left a vacancy on the Arkansas State women’s coaching staff. After just one season as Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator with the Red Wolves, Caronica Randle Williams is leaving to return to her alma mater, Forrest City High School, as the Lady Mustangs new girls’ basketball head coach. She’ll be replacing fellow St. Francis County star, Erica Smith Taylor, who left FCHS after two years to take over at West Memphis. Williams, a standout at Forrest City and UCA, has been an assistant coach alongside Matt Daniel for nine years at UCA and Marshall, then moved on to Furman. She joined “The Drive with Brad Bobo Thursday to talk about the move, and a new arrival to her family coming in the next few weeks.
