The high school volleyball scene in northeast Arkansas will look much, much different in the fall of 2021 with the news which broke late last week. Jonesboro High School head volleyball coach Craig Cummings has announced his retirement effective at the end of the current school year June 30 after 11 seasons in charge of the program. He’ll leave the Lady Golden Hurricane with four Arkansas High School state championships in six finals appearances, along with six conference titles, this after 245 wins in 13 seasons as head coach at Arkansas State. He was in the First National Bank High School Coaches’ Corner on “The Drive with Brad Bobo” Monday afternoon to look at his career (on and off the court), and some news about his current situation.
