He came from southern Illinois to Jonesboro to play football for Arkansas State, but ended up as a standout in track & field, setting school records along the way. “The Drive with Brad Bobo” was joined on Wednesday by 2015 A-State Athletic Hall of Honor inductee Dave Rodely. We hear about what brought him to Jonesboro, his transition from football to track & field, record-setting performances (he still ranks second all-time in school history in the discus, along with two of the best efforts in the shot put–4th outdoors and 9th indoors), and his work with youngsters who are headed for the AAU Junior Olympics in Houston.
