It’s been a football season like no other for the Piggott High School Mohawks. The tragic loss of Hunter Midkiff before the season began. Then after the regular season opener game, head coach Michael Harrell was reassigned. To cap it of, thanks to COVID-19, they find themselves in the midst of playing three games in a seven-day span. But it hasn’t seemed to bother them one bit! The Mohawks (6-3 overall/4-2 in 3AAA play) host Corning in the annual Rice Bowl battle Thursday night, looking for their ninth straight victory over the Bobcats. Interim head coach Don Simmons (former head coach at Greene County Tech) joined us on “The Drive with Brad Bobo” Wednesday to discuss Piggott’s incredible year.
