Monday afternoon, “The Drive with Brad Bobo” visited Jonesboro Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Kim Wilbanks. Friday afternoon, the district was notified that a student-athlete at Jonesboro High School had tested positive for COVID-19, leading to the suspensions all activities at JHS. Dr. Wilbanks discussed what else JPS is doing in response, including guidance received from the Arkansas Department of Health, along with a look at the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. We also talked high school athletics from a statewide perspective, as Dr. Wilbanks–a member of the Arkansas Activities Association’s Board of Directors–took part in their Summer Workshop last week in Little Rock.
