A tennis standout at Valley View, and winner of the Class 5A Girls’ Singles state title, has returned home to become a Red Wolf. On Wednesday, Arkansas State head tennis coach Kel Lange announced that Hunter Roper was transferring from Xavier University to compete at A-State beginning this fall; she’ll have three years of eligibility remaining. Hunter won 22 matches as a freshman for the Musketeers in the 2018-19 campaign, 15 of those in dual play. She joined “The Drive with Brad Bobo” Thursday afternoon to discuss her return home after her one season in Cincinnati.
