During his Monday afternoon news briefing, Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson announced that all in-person classes at Arkansas public schools were being cancelled for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. Shortly thereafter, the Arkansas Activities Association declared that the eight state championship basketball games that had not yet been played (in Classes 3A through 6A) were officially cancelled, and that the eight teams that made it to those Finals were declared State Champions (not CO-champions).
