May 9, 1988–a date that will live in Mid-South, and sports entertainment history. That Monday night at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis, Jerry “The King” Lawler defeated Curt Henning to win the AWA World Championship. The King joined “The Drive with Brad Bobo” to reminisce about that incredible night.
