What more could you ask for when you’ve won 14 state championships in your coaching career? How about some national recognition–and that’s just what’s happened to Valley View Lady Blazers volleyball head coach Margie McGee! She is one of the two winners of the U.S. Marine Corps/American Volleyball Coaches Association Girls High School Coach of the Year award, sharing the honors with Ann Shilling of Bayside Academy in Daphne, Alabama. As part of the First National Bank Coaches’ Corner, coach McGee joined “The Drive with Brad Bobo” Tuesday with her reaction on winning the honor, and what’s ahead over the next several weeks, including getting to match wits on the sideline with her fellow award winner!
