Six athletes with ties to the Arkansas State track & field program will be taking part in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials which begin on Friday and run through Sunday, June 28 at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. One of the former Red Wolves looking to earn a trip to Tokyo next month is Westside High alum Michael Carr. The former A-State pole vaulting standout (and current volunteer assistant coach) joined “The Drive with Brad Bobo” from Eugene on Thursday to discuss his road to the trials; his qualifying round begins Saturday at 4:30 pm Pacific Time (6:30 pm Central).
