The reigning Sun Belt Conference men’s golf champions from Arkansas State will get to defend their title in their home state next spring! The conference announced today that the league will hold the 2020 and 2021 championship tournaments at the Mystic Creek Golf Course in El Dorado. Red Wolves’ head coach Mike Hagen visited “The Drive with Brad Bobo” Tuesday afternoon with his thoughts on the move of the championship from Sandestin, Florida to Union County; this season’s event will be held April 26-29, 2020. He also gave an update on A-State golfer Julien Sale, who’s in the hunt after two rounds of the U.S. Amateur Championship in Pinehurst, North Carolina, and the upcoming Rachel Stewart Memorial Tournament this weekend at Sage Meadows.
