A hometown team earned a championship in the Cal Ripken Southwest Regional Baseball tournaments held in Paragould over the weekend. The Paragould Lumberjacks won the 11-and-under regional title on Sunday, defeating Mobile (AL) Westside 3-to-1; they claimed the title despite being outscored 13-11 in their five games. One of the winning coaches, Ryan Carpenter, joined “The Drive with Brad Bobo” Monday afternoon to recap the championship run.
