The 5A-East football season came to a wild end Friday night, with a four-way tie for the conference title! One of the teams in the mix was Valley View. The Blazers pulled off a pair of thrillers in their final two games (14-12 over Nettleton, and 16-10 at Batesville last Friday) to finish 5-2 in the league to tie with Blytheville, Nettleton and Wynne for the championship, earning the third seed. Next for Valley View is a trip to central Arkansas to face the Crimson Lions of Little Rock McClellan in the opening round. Blazers’ coach Sean Cockrell joined “The Drive with Brad Bobo” Tuesday to recap his team’s season, and look ahead to the playoffs.
