Just over a month after Jay Cook announced his departure from Paragould High School’s girls’ basketball coaching job to take over at Cabot, the Lady Rams have their new leader. Former West Memphis High, Arkansas State, and Columbus Quest standout Sonja Tate was named to the post last Friday. She visited “The Drive with Brad Bobo” to discuss how she came to take the Paragould job. Tate started last year as an assistant at West Memphis, but became interim head coach after Sheila Burns had to deal with health issues.
