It seems the debate between public and private high school athletic programs (and competitive balance issues) is never ending in the state of Arkansas. Plus, politicians seem to want to get into the discussion, and that’s happened thanks to a bill filed in the State House of Representatives this week that would force the Arkansas Activities Association to separate public and private school athletics. Meanwhile, the AAA has proposed a “Competitive Equity Factor” for non-public schools regarding their conference classification. “The Drive with Brad Bobo” welcomed in AAA Associate Executive Director (and former A-State football head coach) Steve Roberts on Tuesday to explain the proposal from their perspective.
