The second half of the 5A-East Conference basketball season begins Friday, and the Jonesboro Golden Hurricane boys find themselves in the thick of the race. JHS, now ranked 9th overall in the state and third in Class 5A, is 14-6 overall, 5-and-2 in the league, tied for second with West Memphis and Nettleton (two games back of Marion). Head coach Wes Swift joined “The Drive with Brad Bobo” to preview the run to the postseason, Friday’s home game with Mountain Home, and to talk about being honored as the NFHS Southwest Regional Boys Basketball Coach of the Year.
