It’s state championship week in Arkansas’ spring high school sports, and a number of northeast Arkansas teams will head for title weekend in Benton. One of those is the Hoxie Lady Mustangs softball team, who punched their ticket to this Saturday’s Class 3A championship contest with Baptist Prep (which can be heard on The Ticket beginning at 10 AM) with a walkoff 5-2 semifinal win over Smackover. Head coach Scott Brown joined the First National Bank High School Coaches’ Corner on “The Drive with Brad Bobo” to recap a huge Class 3A tournament for the Lady Mustangs.
