Arkansas State begins the 2021 women’s soccer season with the reigning Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year returning for her “super senior” season. Megan McClure will also start the campaign as the SBC’s Preseason Defensive Player of the Year”. The goalkeeper from Webster Groves, Missouri had an outstanding 2020, helping lead the Red Wolves to the regular season SBC title. She finished a record of 11-5-1, with a goals against average of 0.53 (allowing just NINE goals all season) in just over 977 minutes in net, 11 clean sheets (that’s soccer for shutouts), and making 58 saves. She visited “The Drive with Brad Bobo” on Tuesday with a look at her career, both past and present, and her thoughts on the upcoming season.
