For the first time in school history, the Hoxie Mustangs football team has earned their way into the semifinal round of the Arkansas high school playoffs, thanks to a big 65-35 home win over Paris in the Class 3A Quarterfinals last Friday. Wednesday evening, “The Drive with Brad Bobo” welcomed head coach Tom Sears back to the First National Bank High School Coaches’ Corner to recap last week’s game, and preview the semifinal matchup this week against the McGehee Owls. Coach Sears also brings us some recollections about one of his former coaches at Arkansas State, Ray Perkins, who passed away Wednesday at age 79.
